The heating system consists out of the cogeneration-unit and in addition a district heating supply (for extremely weather conditions). Distribution is managed with a completely new thermal grid for the whole Lutherviertel-Neighbourhood.
The cogeneration-unit has an electrical power of 385 kW and a thermal power of 500 kW. To ensure the most effective management of the cogeneration-unit we installed a buffer tank with a capacity of 25.000 litres. The annual electricity amount is sufficient for 1.000 households.
