Energy-parcel package solutions led to massive energy savings aswell as improved indoor climate and appearance
Energy-parcel package solutions for renovation of single-family houses were the thought behind the Energy-parcel project which was launched by Realdania Byg in 2007. The goal was to achieve lower energy costs, better health by means of improved indoor climate and a higher quality of life. The project encompassed four single-family houses which were renovated at different levels in the range 200,000 DKK to 2,000,000 DKK. The most comprehensive renovation reached energy savings of 68 % and a significantly improved indoor climate. Simultaneously the general opinion of the house’s architecture was substantially improved. Aalborg University was responsible for the documentation of indoor climate and energy consumption in the project both before and after the renovation of the houses.
